Terms and Conditions

Learn with Kate Tutoring provides personalized educational tutoring and academic support. Sessions may include concept instruction, practice problems, homework support, exam preparation, study strategies, and other educational assistance agreed upon with the student.

Tutoring is intended to support learning and understanding. I will not complete examinations, assessments, or other work on behalf of a student where doing so would violate academic integrity rules.

Tutoring sessions are subject to availability.

Rates vary depending on the subject and student's academic level. The applicable rate will be communicated before a student books or begins paid tutoring.

​

Payment is due before the session unless otherwise agreed.

​

Any applicable pricing will be clearly communicated before purchase.

I understand that plans sometimes change. If you need to cancel or reschedule a tutoring session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible.

​

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice and missed sessions may be charged up to the full session fee, where reasonable in the circumstances.

​

If I need to cancel a session, you will not be charged and any payment already made for that session will be refunded or applied to a rescheduled session.

If a student arrives late, the session will normally still end at the originally scheduled time.

​

If I am responsible for a late start, I will either extend the session where possible or arrange an appropriate alternative.

Tutoring sessions are generally provided online. Students are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection, and any materials needed for the session.

​

If significant technical difficulties prevent a session from taking place, we will arrange an appropriate solution, which may include rescheduling the session.

Tutoring is designed to improve understanding, skills, confidence, and academic performance. However, individual results depend on many factors, including a student's participation, independent study, attendance, course requirements, and assessments.

For this reason, specific grades, examination results, admissions decisions, or other academic outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

Students under the age of 18 must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to participate in tutoring services.

​

Parents and guardians are always welcome to join a tutoring session at any time and are encouraged to reach out with any questions or concerns. I am also happy to keep parents or guardians updated on a student’s general progress, areas of improvement, and topics that may need additional attention.

​

Bookings, payments, and scheduling for students under 18 may be handled by a parent or guardian.

All original content and materials created by Learn with Kate Tutoring, including worksheets, study guides, practice questions, answer keys, lesson materials, videos, graphics, and other educational resources, remain the intellectual property of Learn with Kate Tutoring unless otherwise stated.

Materials provided or purchased are for personal, non-commercial educational use only. They may not be reproduced, shared, distributed, uploaded, resold, or used commercially without prior written permission.

Learn with Kate Tutoring may offer digital educational resources for purchase, such as worksheets, study guides, practice questions, answer keys, and other learning materials.

​

Digital products are delivered electronically and are intended for personal educational use only.

​

If you have trouble accessing a product, receive the wrong file, or believe something you purchased is faulty or not as described, please contact kate@learnwithkate.com and I will do my best to resolve the issue.

​

Any applicable refund or cancellation rights will be handled in accordance with consumer law.

Prices and services may change from time to time. Any changes will not affect tutoring sessions that have already been purchased or confirmed at an agreed price unless otherwise agreed with the customer.

Personal information is handled in accordance with the Learn with Kate Privacy Policy.
